South America (Argentina, Chile, Peru, Bolivia, Uruguay), South Korea, Croatia, Spain, Portugal, Southern Africa, and the Maldives. We go deep rather than wide — our operator relationships and destination knowledge in these regions are built from firsthand experience, not a general catalog.
It starts with a complimentary conversation, usually over Zoom, where we learn about your travel vision. From there, we design a custom proposal built around your pace, timeline, and budget, then handle every detail — hotels, private guides, dinner reservations — so you can focus on looking forward to the trip.
Both. We specialize in small group tours (capped at 20 guests) in destinations like South Korea and Chile, plus wine club and group travel built around wine, food, and culture — a particular specialty for vineyard and wine club organizers planning trips for their members.
Yes. We charge a nonrefundable fee of $300 for our time and expertise in designing your trip — most clients tell us it's among the best investments they've made in their travel. It also means our recommendations are based entirely on what's right for you, not on commission incentives.
Virtuoso is a global network of top travel advisors with long-standing relationships at hotels, cruise lines, and tour operators around the world. As a Virtuoso-affiliated agency, we're able to tap into those relationships on your behalf. Depending on the property, this can mean things like a room upgrade, daily breakfast, or early check-in — though benefits vary by hotel and aren't guaranteed every time. What stays consistent is the personal planning, insider knowledge, and advocacy you get from working with an advisor rather than booking on your own.
Not at all. These trips are built around culture, cuisine, and place as much as wine itself. They work well for any group that wants a shared, seamlessly organized experience.
Yes. Our itineraries are designed to be tailor-made, with experiences and destinations selected to reflect your vision for the trip. We focus on crafting memorable journeys rather than one-size-fits-all travel.
You're never on your own. We work with trusted in-country suppliers and partners who are on the ground and ready to assist at any moment — they keep us informed in real time if anything comes up. And you'll always have your advisor's direct contact information too, so between our local partners and us, you're covered from every angle.
No — while we're based in Falls Church, Virginia, we work with clients nationwide. Many of our relationships start with a referral or a first conversation over video call, regardless of location.
For custom independent trips, 3–6 months is typical. For small group tours or wine club trips with limited spots, we recommend reaching out as early as possible — our South Korea tours in particular tend to fill before the season starts.
